Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- It's been an interesting spring for the Minnesota State Moorhead football team, they've been practicing anywhere they can get let in.
They've practiced 3 times inside the Fargodome, and also a few times at Dacotah field. As for the product on the field. Steve Laqua is hoping another year will go a long ways for his young team.
The Dragons starting lineup was littered with first year players last season.
But, that group put in extra hours over the winter, and the results are showing this spring.
Adam Jiskra, MSUM Soph WR, says, "We've gotten way better since last year, I thought. This winter our workouts were just great. Everyone was more physical and a lot more experienced."
Head Coach, Steve Laqua, says, "There's certain offensive lineman that have put on between 20 and 30 pounds. Physically, we are a much different team than when we left the field at the end of November. It has been fun to see how that has translated into better football. So, we need to continue getting better, but we have some good building blocks in place right now."
