Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Drivers are urged to use extra caution starting tomorrow morning.

The police department will be escorting sandbag delivery trucks to different drop-off points throughout the city. Sandbags will be moved through the city beginning at 7 a.m. and will continue until 7 p.m.

Police escorts use light and sirens to lead the trucks. Drivers are asked to use extra caution and to pull over when needed.

David Todd, Deputy Chief with the Fargo Police, says, "being aware that heavy equipment operating and not getting too close to it, and also be aware by the borrow pits, once they get clay spilled on them they get really greasy and slippery, and so their ability to stop in that area or turn, might be somewhat limited."

The goal is to haul 526 semi loads in 3 days.
