Home runs help Dragons sweep softball doubleheader from UMC

CROOKSTON, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to snag a 6-3 victory against Minnesota-Crookston in the first game of a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference softball doubleheader Sunday.

CROOKSTON, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to snag a 6-3 victory against Minnesota-Crookston in the first game of a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference softball doubleheader Sunday.

Kristy Bruni hit a solo home run in the fifth inning for the Dragons.

Bruni and Taylor Huss both went deep in the second game as MSUM (6-31, 4-18 NSIC) completed the sweep with an 8-1 victory.
