BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's Legislature opened its session in January with more than 900 bills and resolutions.

Monday is Day 71 of the state constitution's 80-day limit. More than 140 bills remain.

Gov. Jack Dalrymple has signed about 360 bills into law, including four anti-abortion bills that make North Dakota the strictest state in the nation in which to get the procedure.

A dozen House resolutions have been killed to date and eight Senate resolutions have met the same fate.

Several pieces of major legislation are still being negotiated by both chambers, including all remaining two-year budget and tax bills.
