Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Mill Creek Custom Cabinets manufactured high end cabinetry. It also employed just over a dozen workers in the plant.

What may be so misleading about the outside appearance of this building is that it is likely a total loss. The problem? What has been destroyed inside.

As firefighters worked to control the fire and get a look at a possible cause, it quickly became clear to the owners of Mill Creek Custom Cabinets, that the loss inside would be devastating.

Myron Martinson- Mill Creek Cabinets: “It's that bad. A million dollars in equipment. Just the equipment.”

Not only a million dollars in equipment and technology lost, but more than a dozen workers, now without a job for weeks to come.

Myron: "Absolutely, we have to. We have 14 families depending on it."

And one big disappointment. Mill Creek was booking jobs through September.

Myron: "We've got customers who are depending on us. That's the hardest part for me. We had 4 houses inside there that are gone. We have to find another cabinet shop in town to help us get going, to get those houses taken care of anyway."

The hope now, the delay is short. And that the workforce, is able to get back producing this.

The cause of the fire is not known, but the owners say it appears it started near the area of the sawdust collector.
