Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Students at Fargo South today got to study a piece of U.S. History by listening to men who experienced.

These 10th graders at South have been studying history, and today, members of the local Vietnam Veterans of America group brought their history into the classroom.

Les Bakke, Larry Nicholson, Paul Hyndman and Wayne Ellefson all took part in teaching the students about the Vietnam War.

Leslie Lewis, Fargo South Teacher: β€œAnd what generates that spark is these men and women. We do have a woman presenter who can bring it to life them. They're not just dried old dead people. These are real living breathing soldiers, who bleed, cried, watched their friends bleed.”

The veterans are scheduled to come back to South next week.
