Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Thousands of students are registering and getting ready to take their college entrance exams. To make sure they're ready for one of the most important tests they'll take, there's an app for that.

The ACT. 215 multiple choice questions that tell colleges how much a student knows and how well they can reason and think logically.

Students striving to get closer to that perfect score of 36 are now heading to their smartphones.

The ACT Student app can make practicing for the ACT test easier than ever. The free iPhone or iPad app has different sections, just like the test.

You click on Math or Science or English and then see limited practice questions from each section.

Immediately you learn if you got the answer right and if you don't, the app gives you feedback. It shows you what you did wrong and why and lets you try again.

You can also log in on the app and see the progress of your practice scores and when the day comes, even get your ACT registration taken care of and score information.

A simple solution for students constantly linked to their technology, now able to prepare for the big test easier, still while balancing school, sports, activities and work.

The average ACT composite score in North Dakota is 20.7. In Minnesota it's 22.8.
