City of Fargo website helpful for flood information

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - For those worried about how high the water may rise around their home, Fargo city officials want to remind the community of a helpful tool.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - For those worried about how high the water may rise around their home, Fargo city officials want to remind the community of a helpful tool.

The city's website has an interactive flood stage map. Anyone can type in a Fargo address, and the map will spit out elevation and river gauge levels at that specific location.

Allowing residents to know how high flood waters may come up and when so they better know how to prepare.

Nathan Boerboom, Fargo Division Engineer: “It allows are residents to be able to determine what potential flood elevation could affect their property at.”

The interactive map has been a popular tool during several Fargo floods and can be found on WDAY.com under the Easy Link tab.
