The city of Oslo, MN, is now officially an island, with the last road into town being closed due to flooding.

Officials closed Minnesota Highway 1 Tuesday night from the ND state line to Minnesota Highway 220.

This is the third year the town has been surrounded by water. Residents have either relocated or stocked up on essential items. Residents in town are protected by an earthen levee up to 42 ft.

At 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, the Red River there stood at 37.76 ft. NWS is projected a rise to 38 ft. and for the river to stay at that level for at least a week.
