PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — The deadly bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday didn't affect plans by the Capital City Children's Chorus in the South Dakota capital of Pierre to travel to Boston.

KCCR radio reports that the chorus was embarking as planned Wednesday. The group planned the trip for more than a year. The chorus will perform Thursday at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and will sing the national anthem before Monday night's Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park.

The bombings at the marathon's finish line Monday killed three people and wounded more than 170. President Barack Obama has branded the attack an act of terrorism.

In the North Dakota city of Grand Forks, about two dozen people gathered on Tuesday night for a special run in support of those affected by the bombings.
