Fargo, ND (WDAY TV))-- As we wait for the snow to melt to begin the spring

sports season. It's also now starting to affect preparation for the fishing

season.

We're less than a month away from the Minnesota opener.

And there's going to plenty of melting happening; we stopped at Fargo Bait and Tackle to see how a potential flood could affect spring fishing.

Jerrene Bowman- "Fargo Bait and Tackle: "When that river comes up the fish are feeding on the grass and habitat that are up there. As soon as the river goes down, it might be a little tougher to find them because they've been feeding on that fresh vegetation so they're not as hungry as they normally would be with the extra source of food. But that only usually lasts a short while, then they're hitting hard again."
