Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- It's become a tradition for the Force hockey team, they've made the playoffs every year since making their debut in 2009.

On Wednesday, the Force open a best-of-5 first round series with Waterloo at Scheels arena. The team isn't exactly playing it's best hockey right now. They were swept over the weekend by Sioux City. Now the task for the team is to re-focus for a playoff push.

Chris Dienes says, "I think we learned that you just can't take any team for granted. I think the one thing that's nice about our team is whether we're down by 5 goals or lose 10 to 3 like we did earlier in the year. We don't let that affect us. We come out each and every game and just try to play our system and try to get the win."

Brendan Harms says, "That's what playoff hockey is all about I think. Things can change in 1 or 2 days. It's not easy playing playoff hockey. We just need to be focused and prepared coming into Wednesday and I think we'll be fine."

Game 1 with Waterloo is a 7pm start; with game 2 coming Friday; the Force took 4 of 5 from the Blackhawks this year.
