Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Before you headed to work this morning or took the kids to school, you more than likely had to clear snow.
While some people we spoke with say it's a good workout, others are fed up as winter drags on, and on, and on.
"This is crazy, we're already past Easter."
Snowmygoodness, no matter how you wanna phrase it, bizarre, depressing or even ludacrius a winter storm mid-April is just that.
Monty Moran, Fargo Resident: "The jokes are fun because when people say how was your Spring or your Summer because it looks like we have Christmas all over again. Maybe we should start Christmas shopping."
Personally, I'd rather look forward to May flowers. Can April "snow" showers bring flowers?
It is heavy snow. It's wet, sticky, it's a big mess.
Kevin , Fargo Resident: My neighbor was out shoveling and she was having a heart attack, I'm just kidding but I said don't worry about, I'll get it because she was trying to shovel it.
For Ben Dahlin, you can double the fun. Not only is his snow blower plugging up because of the wet snow, but since he lives in a house on the corner he has two sidewalks to worry about.
Ben Dahlin/Fargo Resident: "I don't know how long I've been out here, but I've been trying to clear it from our sidewalks, just getting it out of the way."
While some are being proactive, others are not. Take a look at this street where people have yet to clear the sidewalks. It's April, it'll melt on it's own. Right? Well, the city says that doesn't matter - it's a law, so get out there and shovel those walkways.
Just saw the plows go by and everything I did to blow out my driveway is going to be filled in, but that's part of living in Fargo. You gotta love it.
Call it ironic that Old Man Winter dumped inches of snow across the state. Take a look at this sign. As of today neighborhood parking restrictions which often help city crews remove snow are no longer in effect.
In fact, public works says by now they've typically swept the streets at least once.
Kevin: "I mean I kind of enjoy it to be honest with you. It's kind of a guy with his toys. I get to bring my snow blower out..."
I wish I had the same enthusiasm for the snow as Kevin Register, unfortunately, I'm anxious for Spring. Fingers crossed I won't have to shovel when I get home this evening.
