FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State University researchers have received a grant to study medical management services provided by pharmacists.

David Scott of NDSU tells the Forum Newspaper (http://bit.ly/YncOxe ) the study will seek to improve patents' compliance with prescriptions.

Scott says hospitalizations and emergency room visits should be reduced if people take medications as prescribed. He says the study will place North Dakota at the forefront of efforts to better coordinate care between pharmacists and doctors.
