Two men arrested in this morning robberies

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Police made quick work of solving two morning armed robberies at gas stations in Fargo.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Police made quick work of solving two morning armed robberies at gas stations in Fargo.

They arrested 24 year old Abdi Mohamed Abdi.

He has no permanent address, and he faces two counts of roberry.

20 year old Abdikhadar Mohamed Gelle of Fargo faces one count of robbery.

The first robbery was just after 5 this morning at the Petro Serve USA off South University.

Police say Abdi and Gelle walked in with their faces covered, said they had a weapon, and demanded money.

The other robbery happened shortly after 7, at

at the West Acres All-Stop store on 13th Avenue South.

Police say just Abdi walked in, said he had a weapon, and demanded money.

A K-9 unit tracked a scent to vehicle tracks - the men were later arrested during a traffic stop.

Police are crediting evidence left at the scene, surveillance video and tips from the public for the quick arrests.

Each robbery charge carries 10 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
