Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The jugglers are fired up and there's peanuts and cotton candy, aplenty. All in time for the 62nd annual El Zagal Shrine Circus Spectacular.
But because of the weather, some of the main acts almost didn't make it to Fargo before the big show.
From the outside looking in, you'd never guess the Circus is back in our snow-filled town.
Doug Terranova- Tiger Owner: "I'm from Texas, it's not ideal to see any snow."
Animal king Doug Terranova made the trek with his crew, cats and all.
Terranova: "When the weather is bad, it's always stressful for us, they don't know the difference."
And good thing for him, these feisty felines don't mind the chilly weather.
Terranova: "Of course when it's cold like this, the animals have hay and sawdust in there."
Dayo here is one of eight tigers who came to Fargo tonight for the big show, but they're lucky they made it here in time.
Ed Samuelson- El Zagal Potentate: "The roads were icy, the semi was slowing down and the trailer was slowing down, the trailer jack knifed around and went into the ditch."
These tigers all safely kept in cages in the back.
Samuelson: “We had to do two or three different maneuvers to get it out of there."
But once they made it inside the dome, Dayo and her pals were ready for action, and a hot bath to warm up, from this unexpected winter weather.
Samuelson: "Unless it's a blizzard and the wind comes, it isn't that big of thing"
"We hope it doesn't impact people coming to the show."
The circus has six shows, running tonight through Sunday. Tickets are still available at the Fargodome.
