Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - With the river starting to rise, it's important to have the latest flood information and now you can have it all at your fingertips, because there's an app for that.

While thousands of people have filled sandbags to help the community, the developers at Myriad Devices have done their community service at a computer.

Just in time for the predicted spring flooding, they've launched the H20 Fargo app.

Nathan Joraanstad, Myriad Devices: “It's really quick, easy access to information."

The app is easy to use and specific to the red river in Fargo-Moorhead.

It has four basic components, news, charts, weather and videos.

You can find all of the flood related stories you see on WDAY in one spot on the news feed. From road closures to volunteer needs to neighborhood flood fights - it's all in one convenient place.

Joraanstad: "It also features the tab with the flood level.”

With the touch of the finger you can also bring up hydrographs straight from NOAA with real time data on river levels and projections for the coming days.

Joraanstad: “Just keep everyone updated as much as we can while they're out there sandbagging, not having to go home and look on the computer or wait for the news to come on and just stay updated throughout the day."

With links to the latest short and longtime forecasts, plus videos on building a sandbag dikes and preparing for rising water, it has everything you need to prepare for the worst while you hope for the best.

The app is available for free on both the google play and apple markets. You can find it by searching for H2O Fargo.
