BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A New Town man has pleaded guilty to assaulting a federal officer.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A New Town man has pleaded guilty to assaulting a federal officer.

Twenty-two-year-old Vincent Espinoza was accused of fleeing from a traffic stop in New Town last November, and in the process dragging an officer about half a city block. U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says the officer struck her head on the roadway and had to be hospitalized.

Espinoza faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced July 19 in Bismarck.
