Minot attempted murder suspect changes plea

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — A Minot man accused of shooting another man after a dispute at a mobile home court has changed his plea on an attempted murder charge.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — A Minot man accused of shooting another man after a dispute at a mobile home court has changed his plea on an attempted murder charge.

Trial was set this week for 31-year-old Brian Muzzy but it was called off after he entered an Alford plea, which means he does not admit guilt but acknowledges there likely is enough evidence to convict him.

Muzzy was charged with shooting 32-year-old Shaun Scott on Jan. 20 He faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced June 14.

The Minot Daily News reports that Muzzy also faces a felony drug charge for allegedly possessing marijuana while in jail. He has not yet entered a plea.
