Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Oak Creek neighbors say they're sick of waiting and want the city of Fargo to take action now. But after years of fighting flood waters, some say they're simply frustrated.

A number of homeowners expressed their concerns at a public meeting, explaining they don't want to wait another year before a permanent levee is in place.

Those comments pointed city engineers in the right direction. Still, engineers say this decision can't be made overnight.

April Walker, Fargo Engineer: "We have come up with a plan that will allow us to use trap bags as an alternate in the backyards that we do own as an alternate to sandbagging."

Engineers have narrowed their plans down to a handful of options, all ranging between 10 and 20 million dollars.
