Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Gymnastics may not be the first sport that many associate with North Dakota or Fargo, but it certainly is moving fast up the list.

That's thanks to the athletes at TNT Fitness who will be sending an army of participants, eight, to the Region Championship meet in St Louis this weekend.

The eight is a program high for TNT fitness. Four of the eight participants are ranked at level 10; the highest classification for the Junior Olympic gymastic program.

Whitney Beck, TNT Team Director/Head Coach: “They've been in gymnastics since they were four or five years old. Been a lifetime for work to get here, but eight is definitely a big number we can see lower levels growing. It's pretty great.”

Savana Kettner, Davies Sr. Gymnast: “We first started out at TNT, there weren't that many of us hardly, eight to make it regionals to have eight make it and many more eventually. It's really great to see the growth.”

Top qualifiers from this weekend advance to the national championship meets in May. The 2014 region championship will be held at the Fargodome.
