Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Students at Moorhead High are preparing for the upcoming prom by helping each other get fancy.

For the last several weeks, student leaders have been collecting prom dresses from the community. Each Wednesday, those girls preparing for prom come in and look-over the supply of 100 donated dresses.

The cost is minimal, between $10 and $30. Moorhead junior Leah Cummings came in and got her dress today.

Leah Cummings, Moorhead High Student: “When I first heard about it I did not think I could find something like a bigger dress for bigger girls just skinny girls but there are plenty of dresses that will fit other girls that are bigger size.”

The students distribute the dresses every Wednesday night from 4 to 6. Prom is May 4th.
