Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- The Fargo AirSho may have to go on this year, without its most famous act.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels are grounded because of sequestration. With major federal spending cuts in effect, the Navy has canceled the remaining 2013 performances of the Blue Angels.

AirSho committee co-chairman Dick Walstad got the bad news in a call last night. He says plans are being discussed to being in other talent, but as of now the show will go on.

Dick Walstad - AirSho Committee Co-Chairman: “When you have the Blue Angels on your schedule you're going to have a big turnout on your air show, without them that will reduce the crowd to some degree, maybe to a huge degree.”

The Navy's not alone; the Air Force has cancelled the remaining 20 shows in this year's Thunderbirds season.
