MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities have released the names of three people killed in a weekend crash on Interstate 94 in Minneapolis.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office says the victims are two women: 80-year-old Modupeola Agbeke Olabisi and 44-year-old Olawumni Olabisi-Barbington; and a boy, 16-year-old Seun Eperepolu-Barbington.
All three share an address in Coon Rapids. The Star Tribune reports they are a grandmother, her daughter and her grandson.
The medical examiner says Olabisi died of multiple blunt force injuries, while the others died from head and brain injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the three were riding in a minivan that rolled on Interstate 94 on Sunday. They were either not wearing their seat belts or not wearing them properly. Five other family members were injured but are expected to survive.
