Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Investigators are looking into what caused an S-U-V to catch fire, next to a 13-stall apartment garage early this morning.

More concerning, there have been other vehicle fires near the same apartments recently.

When firefighters got here, there were flames coming out of the back of this vehicle, starting the garage on fire. But this isn't the only vehicle fire they've seen in this area recently."

Ryan Viergutz- Fargo Fire Department: "There has been a couple other incidents in that area. About a week ago and about a year ago."

In fact, this is the second recent vehicle fire at this apartment on 32nd Avenue South.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, but the SUV was destroyed.

The fire is under investigation, but is not deemed suspicious until they know the cause.

Vehicle fires in Fargo are more common than some might think.

Viergutz: "There's been a little bit more coverage recently because the fire on the Interstate, we had some citizens make a rescue, it was a little bit more high-profile of an incident. But in a community Fargo's size, there are a lot of cars on the road. It's actually a fairly regular occurrence that we would send a truck to a car fire."

The vinyl siding on the 13-stall garage burned, but there was no structural damage.
