Fargo, ND (WDAY TV)-- Sandbag production for this year's flood fight is on schedule, but volunteers are badly needed to work tomorrow at sandbag central.

Coordinator Bruce Grubb says people may look outside and not see the urgency.

He also says people may still have volunteer fatigue after years of fighting floods. Last night more walk-in volunteers showed up than expected and he hopes that will continue. Groups from the Twin Cities and Bismarck have come out to help.

Bruce Grubb- Enterprise Director: “We would like to see 300 here at all times throughout the day, were here for an 11 hour schedule, we don't have that yet so we have lots of room for volunteers, particularly when the schools aren't present and that's 2 to 7 weekdays and then Saturday.”

To volunteer, call 476-4000. Shuttles will depart every 20 minutes from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday from the JC Penny wing at West Acres and from Jitters Coffee Bar at NDSU.
