Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Chances are, if you've bought an app for your smartphone, you haven't paid more than $5, $10 at most.

Tonight at look at the most expensive apps out there. If you want to spend a thousand bucks, there's an app for that, but for some, be careful before you buy.

If you think of the things you might part with a thousand dollars for, a smartphone app may not be on the list but there are some that might actually be worth it.

We found several apps on the iPhone market for $999.99. The one that got the best reviews was called BarMax California. It's a comprehensive study prep guide for the California bar exam. It actually costs up to a quarter of what other prep courses cost and some say is a bargain at a thousand dollars.

Another thousand dollar app on the Apple market will take your football leagues to a new level. It's called QSFF Stats. It's a statistical app designed for flag football that keeps track of and can analyze everything for passing leagues, passing, receiving yards scores and interceptions.

The Agro App on the apple market will also set you back a thousand dollars. It's made for agronomists. It allows you to visit a client, complete an inspection report, hold the sale of products and then move to the next client, all from the field.

The most expensive app on the Google Play Market is called The Most Expensive App. It will set you back a lot less, $200 dollars to be exact. It's the highest price possible for an App on the Android Market.

But be warned, it does absolutely nothing. It just gives you pure gold wallpaper to show off as a status symbol on your phone.

Maybe worth it if you're a millionaire with plenty of cash lying around.

Next week, we'll profile the latest locally developed flood app out there.
