Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Shuttles are now rolling in to take volunteers to and from Sandbag Central.

Shuttle sites opened today with people lining up to help out. One at West Acres by the entrance to the JC Penny wing and another at the Bison Block building by Jitterz Coffee for NDSU.

Buses run every 20 minutes from 3 to 7 Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 7 on Saturdays, all giving rides to people who can't wait to get to fill sandbags.

Samantha Kimmet, Fargo Volunteer: “We never know what the weather is gonna do. We never know if it's going to be our houses, a family house, a friend's house that's gonna go. This is what this community is known for nationwide.”

People looking to help can also call the volunteer hotline at 701-476-4000 to schedule a shift.
