Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- It's the first sign that your neighborhood is about to be overrun with sandbags.
Large machinery spent the day widening Fargo streets along the river. This will help efficiency during sandbag deployment. You may recall bags are dropped off by the semi load, and those trucks need as much space as possible.
Workers say this project is getting to be routine this time of year.
Lee Anderson with the Fargo Public Works says, "It's not the first time we've had them. You kind of get into a routine and just about everything we do is because we've done it before and it works."
Crews will now move their focus to sandbag central.
