Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- While plenty were thinking summer as the baseball season began, others were thinking of the fall as NDSU opened up it's spring practice today on a chilly afternoon at Dacotah Field.

This will be an interesting month for Craig Bohl's bunch with 8 regulars sitting out the 15 practices with various injuries, but that doesn't mean the next month doesn't have value to the returning players or the redshirts.

Craig Bohl, Head Coach, says, "We've got an experienced football team and I think anytime you're playing with confidence there's going to be a little bit more enthusiasm than just thinking about it what you have to do.

I think we've got good team chemistry."

Grant Olson, NDSU Sr. Linebacker, says, "I don't think their were many false starts. Guys really did a good job of staying up and not falling on the ground, and keeping everybody healthy. So, nobody got rolled up on or injured or anything like that. So, it was good. We have a lot of experience, so it was good that we were able to do that."

NDSU has 2 scrimmages lined up; leading up to the Spring game on the 27th...UND was slated to start today; but moved back to Wednesday because of the weather
