Longtime Eventide nurse retires after over 30 years of service

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - A longtime nurse and administrator for Eventide is stepping down after years with the retirement center. Sandy Pettersen started as an RN at Eventide in Moorhead back in 1978. After 34 years with Eventide, she retired this week.

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - A longtime nurse and administrator for Eventide is stepping down after years with the retirement center. Sandy Pettersen started as an RN at Eventide in Moorhead back in 1978. After 34 years with Eventide, she retired this week.

Sandy helped oversee the dramatic growth at Eventide the last several years, as the facility added assisted living and independent living apartments. When she started, Eventide had roughly 200 employees. Now there are 1,000 spread across three campuses.

Sandy Pettersen – Retiring from Eventide: “Absolutely, I cannot imagine my life without Eventide coming to work every day. When I come back from vacation, I am going to come back and volunteer.”

Eventide recently announced it is expanding to include a new campus near the Scheels Arena in Southwest Fargo.
