Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Many of you are planning on re-living a family tradition this weekend, dyeing Easter eggs.

If you're looking for some new inspiration to add some color and creativity to the process, just grab your smartphone because there's an app for that.

We've all been there with our dozens of hard-boiled eggs, our color tablets, and cups full of vinegar and water, and sometimes what you end up with can be hit or miss.

This Easter, none other than Martha Stewart has upped the game with her Egg Dyeing 101 App for the iPhone and she has done it in true Martha fashion.

You can start by flipping through a gallery of 101 unique eggs or you can use the color wheel to teach you how to make every color in rainbow, the bolder the better.

But it's about so much more than just dyeing them different colors.

If it's embossed, glittered, embellished, marbleized or stenciled, it's on there. And once you find what you want to make, you can check out a supply list so you know if you need glitter, lace or flowers for your egg-strordinary creations.

Then when it's time to get artistic, you can tap on the “how-to” button in the upper right corner and it lays out the step-by-step instructions complete with photos or video.

Then share your creations as a Happy Easter wish. It's your jump start for decorating by the dozens that's sure to wow your family and friends this year.

The Egg Dyeing 101 app is 99 cents and again is only available for iPhones, iPads, or iTouches.
