Red River Watershed Management Board holds 15th annual conference

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - The Red River Watershed Management Board wants to do more for flood damage reduction. Leaders of the group met for the 15th annual conference.

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - The Red River Watershed Management Board wants to do more for flood damage reduction. Leaders of the group met for the 15th annual conference.

The conference allows them to discuss water projects, planning, and implementation. Representative Collin Peterson was at the meeting to talk about the farm bill. He says the bill needs to be passed this year in order for farmers to successfully protect their farms from high waters.

Representative Collin Peterson – (D) Minnesota: “We've got language in there where, if you tiling project approved as far as some type of structure with it, we can fund that out of equip.”

That conference wraps up tomorrow.
