Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- Now to an update on an story we first told you yesterday.
Tonight, residents displaced by a Moorhead apartment building flood - are still without a place to call home.
Late Saturday night, people on the main floor of Eastwood Manor had 3 feet of water pour in on them. Randall's Excavating, the company working to fix the problem, says a private fire line burst and that's what caused the flooding.
All three levels of the complex were evacuated because there was no tap water. It's expected renters on the 2nd and 3rd floors will be able to move in tomorrow, for those on the first floor, more bad news.
Richard Henriksen with Randall's Excavating, says, "The main thing is the mess downstairs where it blew a hole thru the concrete floor there is six inches of clay, sand and silt all throughout the bottom floor."
We contacted property owners, D.W. Jones Management, but our calls were not returned.
