WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — Two people have been killed after a camper caught fire in Williston.
Fire Chief Dave Benth tells the Williston Herald (http://bit.ly/XC3uoS) that the Williston Rural Fire Department responded to the call at about 1:30 a.m. Monday morning and had the fire extinguished in about 15 minutes.
Sheriff Scott Busching says didn't provide details of the circumstances but two people are dead. Their names have not yet been released.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Benth said no members of the fire department or sheriff's office were injured.
The fire also spread to a transmission line pole and forced Montana-Dakota Utilities to shut down power to a substation to allow crews access to the camper. Power was back up in the Williston area by about 8:30 a.m. Monday.
