Parts of the nation are hit with severe weather

(WDAY TV) -- From Colorado to Florida, a fierce storm is baring down.

Extreme wind tossed shopping carts around like toys as people rush for cover, and heavy rain outside of a Lowes in Florida.

To the West, more than a foot of snow dumped on parts of Colorado. And People in Kansas City are dealing with 8 inches. It's hampering driving in several states as plows battle to keep pace.

And then in Atlanta, wind caused a monster tree to fall on an apartment building, luckily no one was inside.

And Tiger Woods has to wait another day to try and take back the number 1 spot in the world. Strong wind and heavy rain delayed the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
