MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Now that two University of Minnesota quiz-bowl teams have been retroactively declared champions, members say they're happy for the recognition but disappointed they were denied the thrill of celebrating at the time.

Minnesota was the runner-up in 2009 and 2011 tournaments, with Harvard University winning both times. But Harvard was stripped of four nation titles Friday after one of its players was accused of accessing questions in advance.

Andrew Hart competed on both Minnesota teams. He says it's "awesome" to think the team actually came out on top.

But his teammate, Mike Cheyne, was a little more circumspect. He tells the Minneapolis Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/YyJELs ) the news felt satisfying at first, but then maddening because the teammates were never really given a chance to celebrate as a team.
