Cass County releases annual crime report

Fargo-Moorhead (WDAY TV) - The number of DUI's in Cass County is down, but more serious crimes are being committed.

The Sheriff's Office annual report shows DUI's went down by 10, but the number of Minors in Consumption is up. There were more arrests in 2012 than in 2011.

Overall officials say the County is a safe place to live, but big city crimes are being committed. That may be due to more people moving in.

Captain Rick Majerus – Cass County Sheriff’s Office: “It's getting bigger and people sprawl out. It's tougher for law enforcement to react to some of the things that are happening quickly because of how spread out they are.
