Snow removal business is booming in the Metro

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A local snow removal company says business is booming - after a slow start to the wintry season.

Glacier Snow Management has multiple crews covering the FM area. An employee says work was slow in 2012, but the weather patterns changed that. So what does take to clear the snow covered lots? A lot of horse power, with big tractors, skidsteers and payloaders.

Brent Hermann with Glacier Snow Management says, "A lot of guys were out at midnight. The other night when we got his it was 10P.M. It's usually anywhere from 5 - 12 hours. Today I'm guessing people will be out all day."

Hermann's crew stays busy clearing parking lots for schools - CashWise and Walmart.
