Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- There are some people that can't quite seem to catch a break this winter - especially if their job involves hitting the pavement. Winter continues to rear it's ugly head.

While some people were able to stay off the roads, others have been busy at service jobs, battling the wintry conditions. There are some jobs you might not want to have in the winter months.

"Got to back up in here, that'll be fun."

Like delivering propane.

Gary Jochi,, Cenex Petro Serve: "We sell a lot of extra, obviously when it stays this cold, but on days like today it makes it a little difficult for delivery especially in the rural area."

While blowing snow can cause for low visibility - there's more to the story.

Truck drivers say snowy road conditions are the least of their concerns when it comes to winter deliveries. They're more concerned whether or not folks cleared a path and snow away from their propane tank.

Snow removal is a re-occuring theme among people who make deliveries - including a local flower shop.

"2602 24th Ave. S."

J.D. Shotwell, Shotwell Flowers: "Say maybe somebody is at work and hasn't been out shoveling yet. Going around to residential roads that haven't been plowed yet does get a little complex."

Mix that in with fresh cut bouquets and gusty winds...

J.D. Shotwell: "Flowers are pretty fragile, so we don't want them blowing around and snapping anything off."

Definitely a job hazard on a day like today. If you do have to go out tonight, take extra caution. The roads are still slick.
