Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) -- It seems like the city of Fergus Falls just cant catch a break.

Nearly every time there is snow in the forecast the city gets snow. The City is doing what it can to keep up with the snowfall. Crews are busy plowing making sure streets are clear and clearing storm drains.

The city's budget for sand and salt is already 90 percent used. Officials say another major project is repairing potholes, which is difficult to do with the extra snow.

Anne Martens, Public Works Director, says, "those are frustrating, we cant keep them from you know expansion and contracting of the material, so we go from filling potholes to plowing snow the next day to back to filling potholes so it's kind of a cycle we are in right now."

Overtime hours are hard to keep up with since most of the storms fall on weekends.
