Sioux Falls, SD (WDAY TV) - A win tonight and the Bison basketball team will return to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2009. Hundreds of fans are in Sioux Falls tonight for the championship of the Summit League Tournament. The team is also getting support from former players.

Jody: Welcome back to Sioux Falls and the Summit League Tournament. It's championship night between NDSU and SDSU with tip-off at 8. I'm joined by 2 former Bison, Michael Tveidt and Mike Nelson. Michael, we’ll start with out, Ben Woodside gets most of the attention for that game, but you were the leading scorer in the game.

Michael Tvedt – NDSU Forward (2007-2011) “I kind of forget about the entire game, but we watch a lot of the last 5 minutes of the game. That's usually what I pay attention to, especially Ben's last second shot, that's what everyone remembers and rightfully so, it was a great play in the history of NDSU.”

Jody: “Mike, nerves can be a big part of a game like this. How did you guys handle it in 2009?”

Mike Nelson – NDSU Guard (2005-2009): “Us guys, we just tried to stay loose. Once you get out warming up and the ball is up in the air tipped off, all that's in the past.”

Jody: “You guys had a chance to watch this team. How do they join you in Bison history tonight?”

Michael Tvedt: “We're a very athletic team, and a good defensive team. If we use those two things to our advantage we’ll be very succesful. You have to hit shots as well.”

Mike Nelson: “They're right up there with some of the best teams that NDSU’s ever had, obviously. If they win tonight they'll join the '09 team with the NCAA berth.”
