Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A travel alert from the North Dakota DOT has been expanded to include Fargo, Casselton, Wahpeton and surrounding areas, with good reason. Blowing snow is sticking to the roadways, causing slush, compacted snow, and ice, making drivers slip and slide.

A rollover happened on I-94 on the Minnesota side just east of Moorhead. The driver lost control in the westbound lane and rolled. Authorities say two people were injured, and one was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Trooper Mark Peterson – Minnesota State Patrol: “You've just got to slow it down; don't use your cruise control. It is icy, we've got a lot of blow ice, but as long as you drive safely and pay attention there shouldn't be a problem.”

There have been more than 850 accidents and vehicles going into the ditch on the interstate between Moorhead and Alexandria in the last month.
