Grand Forks

The Red River at Grand Forks/East Grand Forks stands at 35.02 ft. Tuesday night. Flood stage is 28 ft. NWS predicts that the Red could reach major flood stage, 46 ft., by this Sunday. NWS has upped its outlook for the Red at GF/EGF, now saying it could reach 50.1 ft. by Tuesday.

The flood walls in GF/EGF protect the city up to 63 ft. With a projected rise above 48 ft., the Point and Sorlie Bridges will likely have to be closed sometime this week. Water begins to approach the Kennedy Bridge at a level of 52.6 ft.

At 38 ft., the flood gates will be closed. At 42 ft., the road entering Riverside Park will be closed.

In 1997, the Red reached 54.40 ft.

Fargo

The Red at Fargo is at 29.68 ft. Moderate flood stage is at 25 ft. It could reach major flooding stage, 30 ft., by overnight Tuesday or into Wednesday. NWS projects it to be at 39.5 ft. by the weekend. In 2009, the Red at Fargo crested at 40.84 ft. The second highest crest was 39.72 ft. in April 1997.

NWS says at 31 ft., the 1st Avenue North underpass in Moorhead will be closed. At 32.5 ft., the 1st Avenue Bridge and 2nd Street North locations are closed for construction of a temporary dike.

At 34 ft., sandbagging starts on the dike near 15th Avenue and Elm Street North.

Red River at Wahpeton: 15.06 ft. Flood stage: 10 ft. Projected to reach 15.5 ft. by Wednesday.

Wild Rice River at Abercrombie: 25.65 ft. Flood stage: 10 ft. Projected to be at 26.5 feet by Wednesday. Major flooding stage is 18 ft.

Sheyenne River at Kindred: 17.53 ft. Flood stage: 16 ft. Projected to be at moderate flood stage, 21 ft., by Friday.

Maple River at Enderlin: 11.51 ft. Flood stage: 9.5 ft. Projected to be near major flood stage, around 13.5 ft., by between Friday night and Saturday.

South Buffalo River at Sabin: 15.44 ft. Flood stage: 12 ft. Projected to be near 16.6 ft., by Saturday.

Buffalo River at Hawley: 8.5 ft. Flood stage: 7 ft. Projected to be around major flooding stage, 11 ft., by Saturday.

Buffalo River near Dilworth: 22.92 ft. Flood stage: 12 ft. Projected to reach 23.3 ft., by sometime Sunday.

Maple River near Mapleton: 909.86 ft. Flood stage: 905 ft. Projected to be near major flooding stage, 910 ft., by Wednesday.

Sheyenne River at Harwood: 887.57 ft. Flood stage: 884 ft. Projected to be around major flood stage, 891 ft., by Thursday into Friday.

Wild Rice River at Hendrum: 26.91 ft. Flood stage: 20 ft. Projected to be near major flood stage, 32 ft., by Sunday.

Red River at Halstad: 29.81 ft. Flood stage: 26 ft. Projected to be near major flood stage, 37.5 ft., by Saturday.

Marsh River at Shelly: 15.21 ft. Flood stage: 14 ft. Projects to be around major flood stage of 23 ft., by Friday night into Saturday.

Red Lake River at Crookston: 16.98 ft. Flood stage: 15 ft. Projected to stay within flood stage, reaching near 22 ft. by Sunday.

Red River at Oslo: 32.67 ft. Flood stage: 26 ft. Projected to reach 36.9 ft., major flooding stage, by sometime Monday.

Park River at Grafton: 10.01 ft. Flood stage: 12 ft.

Red River at Drayton: 34.15 ft. Flood stage: 32 ft. Projected to reach moderate flood stage, 38 ft., by Saturday. Could be nearing major flood stage by Tuesday.

Two Rivers River at Hallock: 806.92 ft. Flood stage: 802 ft. Projected to reach around 808 ft. by Thursday or Friday. Major flood stage is 810 ft.

Roseau River at Roseau: 14.52 ft. Flood stage: 16 ft.

Red River at Pembina: 40.45 ft. Flood stage: 42 ft. Projected to be near moderate flood stage, 47 ft., by Tuesday.
