Close call for mother and daughter with beet truck

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- We begin tonight a close call for a woman and her teenaged daughter late this afternoon.

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- We begin tonight a close call for a woman and her teenaged daughter late this afternoon.

Their mini van collided with a beet truck North of Moorhead. It happened around 3:30. Authorities say the daughter was driving the minivan and tried to make a U-turn on Highway 75 near 80th avenue north.

She didn't realize a beet truck was behind them. The beet truck, which was empty, tried to swerve but hit the minivan. There were no serious injuries.

There will be more trouble with the roads, light snow is coming in with a little wind.
