Minnesota (WDAY TV) -- A new poll shows a large number of Minnesotans want the minimum wage raised but they differ on how much it should go up.

The Star Tribune poll shows, 41 percent surveyed want to see it go from 6-dollars and 15-cents an hour to 9-50. 28-percent say it should go to 7-50 an hour, and 25-percent want it to stay as is.

Governor Dayton says he hopes to get it raised, as the state has one of the lowest amounts in the nation.
