(WDAY TV) -- The hot topic in Bismarck this week is expected to be the debate on expanding Medicaid.

A reluctant House voted last month to expand the service to cover more uninsured residents, but experts say the bill is up against a tougher opponent in the Senate.

Enough republicans endorsed in the House endorsed the measure because they worried too many residents would shoulder more costs without it. If it passes 20-thousand more people would be eligible for Medicaid in North Dakota.
