Minnesota (WDAY TV) -- Minnesota officials are asking residents to strongly and quickly consider flood insurance.
It comes as large portions of the state received heavy snowfall in February and early March. The thing with flood insurance, it's a special or separate policy. And it takes 30-days for it to go into effect that's why officials are strongly encouraging people to move swiftly if they need it.
