Two Dakotas teams move on at NAIA nationals

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — The Dakota State men and the Jamestown College women are moving on in the NAIA Division II basketball tournaments. The Jamestown College men are going home.

Dakota State upset No. 5 seed Warner Pacific 89-80 on Thursday in the men's tournament in Point Lookout, Mo. Jamestown lost to second-ranked Cardinal Stritch 74-56.

The Jamestown women beat Menlo 70-54 on Thursday to advance in the women's tournament in Sioux City, Iowa.

Three other Dakotas teams made the national tournaments but lost in first-round action Wednesday: the Valley City State men and women and the Mayville State women.
