Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - The road that the Moorhead Spuds took to get back to the state hockey tournament was a difficult one, losing all-state goalie Michael Bitzer and veteran coach Dave Morinville.

The one consistency on this team has been the Uglem brothers, Nick and Tony, who have scored goals in bunches including last week in the section championship game where Tony's slap-shot goal against Brainerd snapped a scoreless tie.

They don't play together regularly on the same line, but when they are on the ice, they can feel it.

Nick Uglem, Moorhead Sr. Forward: “I definitely look for him. I know where he's going to be, know what he likes to do, likes to shoot the puck, that helps.”

Tony Uglem, Moorhead Sr. Forward: “Nick is front of the net most of the power play, so I just rip it. Credit him for most of my goals, gets a lot of credit on my goals, know he's in front of the net and let it rip.”

Spuds play the opening game tomorrow at the X, 11 a.m. faceoff against 3rd seed Duluth East.
